The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has officially unveiled the examination timetables for the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE), Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) for the year 2023.
Addressing journalists at the Uganda Media Center in Kampala, the Executive Director of the board, Mr. Daniel Odongo, revealed that this year’s national examinations are scheduled to commence on Friday, October 13th, with the briefing of UCE candidates.
According to Odongo, the examination season will kick off with Geography on October 16, 2023, and will continue until November 17th.
Following this, the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) will be the next set of exams, taking place from November 7th to November 9th, 2023, starting with the briefing of candidates.
Lastly, the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations are slated to be conducted from November 10th to December 1st, 2023.
In total, an estimated 1.2 million learners are set to sit for these three sets of exams.

Mr. Odongo has urged heads of examination centres to ensure that every candidate receives a copy of the timetable, and he emphasized the importance of prominently displaying the timetable on school noticeboards for the benefit of all concerned parties.
