Uganda’s Yoweri Museveni begins campaigns ahead of next year’s polls

Campaigning has gotten under way in Uganda ahead of next year’s presidential elections.

Long serving Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni began the first leg of his campaign. The 71 year-old kicked off his campaign with a rally in the region where he began the war that brought him into power in 1986.

Many of the region’s veterans still expect compensation for their losses.
