For the 8 years that Bayimba has been ongoing, there had never been an artiste out of the ‘arts’ industry seen performing on the stage. For starters, Bayimba festival is an event which is known for having performance from rappers like Navio, St. Nelly Sade, Jungle the Man-eater, guitarists like Micheal Ouma, Micheal Kitanda and poets like Slim Emcee among others. The bottom line is the event is about celebrating the Arts, when we talk arts; we talk traditional music and all those other elements of arts.
This year, revelers are going to see Sheeba Karungi in her patra shorts and a crop-top with Timberland boots and a baseball cap on stage. For the first time, a crazy artiste who is not always a performer at the Bayimba will perform on the second day of the three days festival.
On the same day, Sheeba will perform alongside world musician Joel Sebunjo and other artistes like Kareyce Fosto from Cameroon and Aly Keita from Ivory Coast.
Bayimba International festival will take place from September 18th to 20th. Other artistes who will perform on other days will include Radio and Weasel, Don Mc, Levixone, Madoxx.
