Isonga Fc defied all odds and eliminated Espoir Fc to book a place in the semi finals of the 2015 Peace Cup competition.

The youthful under dogs’ side booked a slot after defeating giants Espoir FC 5-4 on penalties in the quarter final round following a 1-all draw in normal 90 minutes of regulation time at Muhanga stadium.
Elsewhere, reigning League champions APR FC also reached the last four of the competition after ejecting Gicumbi FC 5-4 on penalties after a 1-all draw at Mumena stadium.
At Kicukiro turf, Rayon Sports registered a 2-0 win over Etincelles FC thanks to a brace from skipper FuadiNdayisenga while Police Fc also booked a semi final slot after winning 4-3 on spot kicks after both sides were tied 1-1 by stoppage time.
In the semi final round due on Saturday, June 27, APR Fc will take on Police Fc while Rayon Sports will meet Isonga FC in the first leg while the second leg will be played on July 1st.
The winner of this year’s Peace Cup will represent Rwanda at the 2016 CAF Confederation Cup.
