Venturing outside one’s country is one interesting adventure that everyone should experience at least more than once because it comes with a whole different level of exposure.
The Boys’ Mentorship, a Christian program was founded 8 years ago with a sole purpose of sharing and teaching biblical principles of manhood to boys between age 7 and 17. The basis of the program is that boys in this age bracket are in need of mentorship.
A few months ago, a group of 16 boys embarked on an amazing educational and sports tour in Europe.
The 11-day tour which began in early July started in Spain where the boys, in company of some of The Boys’ Mentorship Program officials had an amazing stay and also participated in the annual International Youth Football Tournament held in Costa Blanca, Benidorm, Spain from 1st to 8th of July.
From Spain, the group proceeded to tour other destinations like Stockholm, Sweden where they visited the Sweden National Museum and the Stockholm Art Museum located in Stockholm.
They would then take an inner city bus to Amsterdam, Netherlands through Denmark and Germany which marked the climax of the tour.
“The boys learnt the history of these cities and how to connect to these cities using modern technology and boarding the trains on their own,” said Godfrey Kuteesa, the President of the Boys’ Mentorship Program.
There are plans to organize yet another European tour to more countries next year but before that, the program will set another group on a tour of the U.S. Bookings for the American tour are already ongoing.
The Boys’ Mentorship mission is to transform young men from becoming part of the problem to becoming the solution through a commitment to teaching biblical truths pertaining to true manhood without compromise.
