Orange enters negotiations to Buy 4 of Airtel’s west African Operations

France Telecom which trades as Orange and and india’s  Bharti Airtel (“Airtel”) have entered an exclusive agreement concerning four Airtel subsidiaries in Africa.

In a joint statement, the two companies said a ”Possible acquisition by Orange of Airtel’s subsidiaries in Burkina Faso, Chad, Congo Brazzaville and Sierra Leone”

There is no certainty of any binding agreement as a result of these discussions.
