Former Miss Uganda Mrs Leah Kalanguka’s first days after being crowned were hell. She got a lot of negative response from the public; many said things like she wasn’t fit to be Miss Uganda and all those not appealing words to her ears.
It is the not the same with this year’s winner. Ms Zahara Nakiyaga has started to eat big even with just a few weeks with the crown. The beauty queen earlier today smiled all the way to the bank, this was after signing a seven month’s contract as Mirinda brand Ambassador.
The seven months contract came with a cash amount of Shs11M, it cater for her monthly salary and fuel allowance for her Miss Uganda Raum.
According to the customer marketing manager for Crown Beverages Limited Mr Jeff Ssekandi,it is a unique initiative Mirinda has undertaken as a way of not only supporting the crowning event of Miss Uganda but also the winner of the pageant.
Ms Brenda Nanyonjo, a director at Kezzi, the franchise holders of Miss World license in Uganda, thanked Mirinda for the kind gesture, adding that it shows the value Mirinda attaches to Miss Uganda.
“What Mirinda has done today will make the partnership Miss Uganda has with Mirinda stronger.
