The exercise however will start tommorrow on the 14th and unregistered customers will be getting interruptions in their services. They will be able to recieve calls without being able to make calls.they will also not be able to load data.
This comes amidst a fallout in MTN group over Nigerials decision to fine MTN nigeria 5.2 Billion dollars for not switching off unregistered users, and warnings from the regulator Uganda communications commission that they were going to fine telecommunication companies that have not switched off unregistered simcards.
To register, customers will be required to visit any MTN service centre with a Valid ID.
