It’s now two weeks ever since President Museveni put the country in lockdown in order to control the spread of the deadly Corona Virus that has claimed many lives of people worldwide.
Following his directives, many people were left with no option but to go back home put the rules at work. In the same process to control the virus from spreading to many people in the country, the president issued a direct order to give food to the people of Uganda who can’t afford anything in these hard times.
Many people including celebrities like Bobi Wine are among those who have come out to give food to different people. It’s at this point also that current Miss Uganda Oliver Nakakande has moved door to door around different parts of Kampala in places like Kalerwe Gayaza road giving food to people to pass them through the Easter holidays.
Easter is celebrated by many people who have decided to feast on all kinds’ food with their family and loved ones but it’s different on the reigning miss Uganda Oliver Nakakande.
She decided to celebrate Easter with the poor in some communities around Kampala and Wakiso. Oliver Nakakande was today morning distributing food door to door to the unprivileged and the poor. The food includes Chicken, rice, sugar and other stuff that can help them pass through the Easter period.
Oliver Nakakande was crown the Miss Uganda at the finals which were held at Sheraton Hotel in Kampala last year
Her visit was mainly to share a few moments with the people and give put a smile on them in these hard times.
Miss Uganda has always said that it is in her heart to help the Needy and she stood for Miss Uganda because she saw it as an opportunity to pass on his message to the concerned Authorities of helping the poor and the unprivileged in our Societies.
