Ministry of Health To Launch 16 Regional Ambulance Call And Dispatch Centers Nationwide

In a groundbreaking move to bolster emergency medical services and enhance healthcare accessibility, the Ministry of Health is gearing up to inaugurate 16 regional ambulance call and dispatch centers situated at various regional referral hospitals across the nation.

This visionary endeavor, set to be executed through the E-Emergency Medical Services strategy, is geared towards ensuring swift and efficient responses to medical emergencies while extending healthcare services to every corner of the country.

Emmanuel Ainebyoona, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, revealed in an exclusive interview with KFM that this initiative has already undergone successful pilot phases in Masaka and Mbale.

“With these successful pilot projects, we aim to guarantee the presence of well-equipped ambulances in every region that align with the constituencies,” stated Ainebyoona.

He further disclosed that the Ministry has already acquired an impressive fleet of over 50 ambulances, poised for an official commissioning ceremony by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
