Everline Makuto Crowned 2015 Women’s African Nations Championship MVP

Younger Star Evelyn Makuto bagged the Most Valuable player (MVP) prize at the just Concluded 2015 Women’s African Nations Volleyball Championship that was held in Nairobi, Kenya.

Makuto played a great role during the whole stages of the competition, but her performance raised to the utmost during the final against Algeria as she scored impressive 23 points as well as succeeding in stabbing the Algerian blockers frequently with her unstoppable hits.

Three other Kenyan players along with Everline received individual awards among them is Skillful setter Jane Wachu who led the team in the final when the coach David Lungaho preferred her over veteran setter Janet Wanja.

The emerging center Ruth Jepngetich won the Award of best blocker, while the experienced NafulaWanyama won the best libero.

Senegal’s outside hitter FatouDiuock won the best attacker Award besides being the competition best scorer, Algeria’s center Lydia Oulmou who plays for the French side Hainaut Volley got the best server prize and Cameroon’s MomaBassoko was the competition’s best receiver.
