Araya Girma, former head of construction department at Sur Construction, is appointed by the Council of Ministers to be the new Director General of Ethiopian Roads Authority (ERA), according to The Reporter.
The letter of appointment dated June 8, 2015 and was signed by Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn.
Araya Girma graduated from Addis Ababa University in 1995 in Civil Engineering. Then, he worked as a project manager of the Gedo-Fincha road construction. Starting from 2007, he worked at Sur construction, one of the subsidiary companies of the Endowment Fund for the Rehabilitation of Tigray (EFFORT)
